Towers and Aircraft Punctuate the Sky

When on-site, I always come to attention when I hear the thwap, thwap, thwap sound of a helicopter as it approaches the campus. On what helipad will it land, I wonder. On occasion, fixed-winged aircraft flyovers catch my eye. Because of timing, I am elated if I’m able to capture a tower or even better both towers in the frame with an aircraft— sometimes, I’m successful. Most often, I’m not. This post portrayed two occasions when the timing was perfect.

A Mercy Air helicopter approaches the south helipad located on top of the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.
