The Week of February 17, 2020 — Rough Grade, Rebar, the Roof and More

On the Southwest side of the construction where the Children’s Emergency Department (ED) is located Premiere Engineering & Grading has begun the backfill and rough grade on the Children’s Emergency Department’s Drop-Off & Parking area — a sure sign that the exterior of the project is nearing completion. In this phase, heavy equipment is no longer parked in the area, the steel containers are removed, and all the trash has been hauled away. Surveyors move in and begin roughing the grade. This phase does not mean that there will be no more trenching, however, the scope and methods are different and less extreme as the next phase will be final grade.

By the end of the week, shallower trenches were being backfilled.
