The Mesmerizing Dichroic Glass on the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Tower: A Kaleidoscopic Marvel

Random images of the Dichroic Glass that were taken in the morning. between 9:30 and 10:45. I noticed that the intensity of the colors would change within a matter of steps.

The east and west elevations of the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital on the Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus showcase nature’s mood meter consisting of narrow vertical dichroic glass panels. These bipolar panels can blend and transfer a range of hues which provides an array of kaleidoscopic colors depending on the time of day.

Behind the Children’s Hospital logo, the colors of the dichroic glass serves as a perfect backdrop.
