The Week of April 23, 2018–Going Up: Floors Three Through Five; Plus More Structural Steel for Section Four

Another week of columns, girders, beams and decking as the steel rise above the third floor of section one (1). On the evening of April 23, 2018, I had the privilege of giving a construction photo update to the Loma Linda University Vision 2020 Campaign Steering Committee. After the meeting had concluded, members of the steering committee made their way over to the construction site where they were given  a brief tour around the perimeter of the building. As the tour was ending this spectacular sunset greeted the group.

A view from camera 1 at 4:23 PM. At the end of the day corrugated decking covered most of the center section floors four (4) and five(5).

The tour group gathered in the yard on the east side of the building. After some introductions, they received some instructions and the guides led them along the north side. From this vantage point the group look straight into the ground floor.

Standing at the northwest corner of the complex, Dr. Hart (center); and Candy Spiel look and listen as Tom Hyder provides some interesting information about the moat that surrounds the building.
