The Week of August 13, 2018 — The Week to Clean Up Some Lose Ends

From what I learned this morning, The north crane will begin lifting columns this Thursday, August 16, and the south crane will begin hoisting columns on Wednesday, August 22. The north crane started the week off lifting small infill columns that surround the central elevator shafts. By the end of the week, the north crane had done a great deal of lifting – columns that marched across the northern flank of the podium so that the Adult Hospital side began to show promise of a tower.

A closeup view of the columns set on the Adult Tower side as it marches east (circa 9:15 AM).

A view of the single row of columns from the Anderson Street gate.

From Anderson Street an excellent view of the two rows of columns. The crane operator is in the process of lowering a massive column onto its base.
