Unexplained Mysterious Lights at Night Around the Hospital Towers
Forty individual photos were stacked to create the featured image of the Mysterious Lights at Night that dotted the skies in an elliptical pattern just north of the Medical Center. Never, during the nearly one-hour observation, did the light appear south of the Medical Center’s elevator tower.
Around 9:46 PM on the night of January 20, 2020, a Mediflight Helicopter landed on the north helipad. On or about 9:49 PM, a light partially obscured by the clouds appeared in the night sky north of the hospital towers. Being the curious type, I watched the light as it glided south toward the towers. At first, I wondered if the light was from a helicopter approaching the south helipad. How could that be? The approach was too high. I grabbed a few screenshots and continued to watch the computer screen. Suddenly, the lights ceased to move at 9:53:59 PM and hung over the Medical Center’s elevator tower. On or about 9:54:18 PM, the lights dropped straight down and seemed to hover a few feet from the elevator tower before it disappeared behind the tower. I kept webcam camera eight (8) on the computer screen as I continued to work on the day’s photos. According to the webcam camera’s clock, I captured another screenshot of the light coming from the north at 9:55:52 PM. This time, the flight altitude was lower than the first observation. I continued to grab screenshots. At 10:09:51 PM, the tail light of the Mediflight helicopter flashed. At 10:12:10 PM, additional lights appeared on the helicopter. The screenshot captured the helicopter lifting off the north helipad at 10:12:37 PM and disappeared to the northwest. The last screen capture of the mysterious light was at 10:28:53 PM. When the light vanished behind the Medical Center elevator tower at 10:32:34 PM, I signed off and retired for the night. I don’t think the mysterious lights were from a sheriff’s helicopter as I never saw the motion of a searchlight. Could it have been a drone?
