Betty Ruth Park: 1926 – 2020

On Thursday, July 2, 2020, we laid our mother to rest. Due to Covid-19, a small group of family of friends gathered at the Riverside National Cemetery to say goodbye. Under azure skies, we quietly remembered mom with poetry and scripture. All the while, a small uninvited, yet welcome guest, interjected its antics into the service. You see, a hummingbird delighted us by performing its repertoire of avian aerobatics near mom’s casket. Mom loved hummingbirds, and she would have enjoyed the spectacle. Lastly, a benediction of remembrance, hope, and encouragement was said. Rest in Peace, Mom! We’ll see you in the morning!
