Floor by Floor Virtual Tours of the Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus — This Blog Features the Roof, Helipad, and the 16th Floor

The featured image is of the Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus towers on a beautiful, clear day.

The Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus towers are far enough along now to take the website visitors on virtual tours floor by floor. We will begin the first tour with the 16th floor. However, few people will be able to see the mechanical room in the elevator tower, the roof (17th floor) or the helipad (16th and a half floor), we will begin the tour there. Incidentally, the views from these locations (except for the mechanical room) are spectacular, especially on a clear day!

The Scope of This Post

From the center of the helipad, looking east, we see the roof of the adult tower’s east wing above the 16th floor. The elevator tower is center right right.

The 16th Floor

A breathtaking panoramic view of the campus and the mountains beyond as viewed from the 16th floor balcony terrace.
The rough sketch of the layout for the 16th floor shows the location of various rooms, elevators, and hallways. The numbers correspond to the photos that follow. The descriptions for the letters are noted on the sketch. The layout is approximate and is to be used for illustrative purposes only.

The East Wing

The east wing runs east to west and includes the following areas: #1: The Terrace Balcony, #2: Conference Rooms/ Offices, #3 Mechanical Room, #4: Vestibule to the Stairs that lead to the 15th Floor.

#2 On the south side of the Terrace windows is presently a large shell of a room, which will be use as conference rooms and/or offices. The open door (upper center) at the end of the room leads into the mechanical room, which takes up the majority of the east end of the floor. To the left of the open door is a glass door that leads out to the balcony terrace.
#2 At the west end of the east wings conference room/office area there is a large shaft that leads to the roof for HVAC venting.
#3 The mechanical room that is in the southeast corner of the east/west wing.
#4 The stairs that lead down to the 15th floor. These stairs are accessed from the east door on the balcony terrace.

Where the two carts are to the right, there is a vestibule for the public elevators. Two elevators are on the east side and two are located on the west wall.

#8 The north/south hallway crosses the east/west corridor. Ahead are the restroom, behind is a back door to the executive boardroom and a door to the small audiovisual room. To the left is the east wing.
#6 At the junction of the main east/west corridor and the east halway facing west. The double doors to the right lead into the executive board room.
#9 Just beyond the elevator vestibule, the east west corridor ties into the east side corridor that runs north to south. From this vantage point one has a delightful view toward Redlands and beyond. On the right of the hallway there are the men’s public restrooms and the women’s restroom bisected by a narrow east/west hallway. The stairs that lead up to the emergency patient vestibule off of the helipad ramp are at the west end of the hallway,
