Views of the South Elevation of the Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus From the South Hills of Loma Linda and Parking Structure P4
The featured image for this blog is of the southeast view of the Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus. The towers of the new hospital rise above the iconic clover-leaf towers of Loma Linda University Medical Center. The photo was taken by Patrick Wolfe from the south Loma Linda Hills.
To really appreciate the featured image, we must go back to 2017 when the clover-leaf towers were the jewels of the valley. In that year the pit yawned wide east of the towers where sixty years ago, citrus groves covered the land. The trees gave way to the new hospital built in the 1960s. The parking lots and landscaping that fronted the Medical Center was uprooted for the footprint of the new hospital towers that now rise above the campus.
