This date, I am using as the bench mark for comparison purposes. Ground breaking had taken a in May and the site had been prepared for the pit excavation. On the south side (right) a section for the first layer of the shoring wall has been excavated.

What a Difference 1-Yr; 7-Months and 10-Days Make!

Sometimes it is fun to pause and reflect on a project. These two photos allow one to visualize what has been accomplished over the last 2-years; 5-months; and 10-days. During this period 109,200 cubic yards of dirt was excavated in making the pit, tons of rebar was laid, thousands of cubic yards of concrete was poured, the damper pedestals were poured, the isolator bases were set, the isolators were set, the spline beams have begun to arrive and are being bolted to the isolators, and beginning this week the ironworkers have begun to layout the corrugated decking over “B” level.
