A Modular Village to Populate the Construction Site *Completed*

A Modular Village to Populate the Construction Site *Completed*

Toward the end of the year, weather permitting, a little community will spring up within the gates of the construction site. The photo above (courtesy of hospital camera 3) depicts a section of the northeast quadrant of the building site as of October 28, 2016. To orientate the visitor and place this caption in perspective, four numbers have been superimposed over the photograph. Number 1 shows the pit; Number 2 is of a portion of the new entrance to the Medical Center off of Prospect Avenue; Number 3 shows the intersection of Anderson Street and Prospect Avenue; Number 4 is the area where 30 temporary modular construction trailers will soon be parked. Currently (October 28, 2016), temporary electrical hookups are in the process of being installed to the area.🔨

Soon the “modular village” will be a hub of activity as the construction tempo increases. 🔨

contractor-shacks-more-arrive-113016In the early morning hours of November 30, 2016, more modular trailers arrived on site. Since Monday morning, November 28, ten
sections have been trucked in with five installed in place. 🔨

construction-shack-water-lineThe water line pipes to service the construction trailers will soon be laid and connected to the main water line. 🔨

At the elbow of the trench in the previous photo, a large water main gate valve was installed. 🔨

Water main stand-pipes rise above the trench, which has been compacted and is ready to be leveled with cement. In the background, a skip loader smooths out the back of the lot where more trailers will be parked. 🔨

As patients make their way to the Medical Center entrance (line of vehicles at bottom of photo), construction continues on the other side of the safety fence. A crew continues
to set up a bay of trailers, which will be used by the contractors and subcontractors on site. Ultimately, there will be
approximately 30 trailers in the lot. Currently, there are 13 trailers with nine
trailers leveled, aligned, and connected. 🔨

A large and heavy gate valve sits in its shipment crate. It will be hooked up to the water line in the trench behind the crate. 🔨

The gate valve, shown in the previous photo, will be connected to this exposed water line. 🔨

More modular trailers arrived on site this morning. Supposedly these are three of 11 that are scheduled to arrive. 🔨

Up until March 13, 2017, a total of 24 modular trailers had been placed on the construction site. Three more modular units were brought on site on March 13, with eight more to arrive as soon as the new arrivals have been placed. This photo is a screen shot from the feed of one of the roof-mounted cameras that monitor the construction site. 🔨

The newest modular trailers were placed today and are awaiting the skirting. 🔨

Enjoyed the pictures. You do have the construction mentality and eye for what’s important. Thanks for sharing and keep the hard hat on 24/7 for a long life of protection.
